Orders

How do I change or cancel an order?

Send us an email at hello@mercantileportland.com and we’ll help make it right!

What are my payment options?

Online we accept credit and debit cards, PayPal, or shopPay installments on our website.

In-store we accept credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Cash.

When will I be charged?

When paying with a credit card, your account is charged when you place your order. Other payment methods such as shopPay or PayPal may be charged when we ship your order.

Shipping

When will my order ship?

We are often able to ship your order within one day, but we request up to 72 hours in case of a holiday or other delay.

What are your shipping rates?

We offer free domestic ground shipping (shipping policy), however you may pay to receive your items sooner. 

What about duties & taxes?

For international orders, the customer is responsible for all shipping, duties, and taxes.

Do you offer in-store pickup?

Yes! You may select that option at checkout.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase!

Items can be returned or exchanged within 7 days of receipt.

Please note, Jewelry and Sale items are not returnable. 

May I return a SALE item?

SALE items are Final Sale and may not be returned. Read our return policy for exceptions.

May I exchange an item for a different size / color?

Yes, of course! Either call us at 503.223.3387 or email us and we can help you with your exchange.

May I return an item in-store?

How do I get something tailored?

We are proud to offer in-house tailoring and assist with your alterations. Give us a call at 503.223.3387 or send an email to hello@mercantileportland.com to schedule an appointment with our tailor.

Do you have personal shopping services?

We do! Our passionate stylists are dedicated to your personal style and providing an enjoyable shopping experience.

Do you gift wrap?

Yes! Our beautifully wrapped gifts always inspire delight. After you put the item in your cart, click ‘view cart’ and click ‘order note’. Simply type, “gift wrap” and proceed. We’ll make sure it’s pretty before it’s sent!

I’ll be visiting Portland soon but don’t have a lot of time, may I make an appointment outside of your normal hours?

I’m shopping online, how do I get help with how things fit

We understand there can be sizing variability between garments and we are happy to answer questions. To speak with a stylist about unique sizing questions, please call us at 503.223.3387. You’re also welcome to book an appointment with one of our stylists here.

How do I purchase a gift certificate for Mercantile Portland?

You can easily purchase gift cards, here, online. Or visit us in-store to create a unique gift.

Can a gift recipient exchange their order?

Yes, as long as the return meets our return policy.

What do I do if my order arrives damaged?

We want to make sure you are 100% satisfied with your purchase. If you are not, for any reason, please contact us immediately and we will make it right.

I see that some jewelry items can be pre-ordered, how does that work? How long does it take?

We work closely with our vendors to provide unique and special pieces for our customers. 

If you are purchasing a pre-order piece, it is eligible for custom sizing.  Place your order and we will be in contact with you shortly to confirm sizing and order timing. For more information, visit us in-store or contact us.

How will I know when my in-store pick-up is ready for me?

We will notify you via the email address you’ve provided.
